Word has spread far and wide, much like the scandal sheets of Lady Whistledown, that these noblemen—Lord Basilio and Lord Barnell—brought the world of Bridgerton into our humble establishment, setting tongues wagging and appetites stirring.

But, dear reader, let us not tarry any longer, for what unfolded that evening is surely a feast for both the eyes and palate.

The world of Bridgerton has recently welcomed a touch of Filipino flair, thanks to two remarkable actors from the show’s third season. James Bradwell and Martin Sarreal, who portray the charming yet enigmatic Lord Basilio and Lord Barnell, graced us with their presence at Spoon and Rice Willesden for a delightful dining experience that was as captivating as their roles in the series.

Lord Basilio and Lord Barnell brought their own brand of elegance and intrigue to the screen, and it seems that their refined tastes extend beyond the world of Regency-era drama. We were thrilled to host these talented actors and share with them the rich and diverse flavors of Filipino cuisine that Spoon and Rice is known for.

During their visit, James and Martin enjoyed a feast that was both comforting and authentic—a true celebration of Filipino culinary traditions. The meal started with our signature Chicken Juander, a dish that combines succulent chicken with a blend of spices and flavors that pays homage to traditional Filipino recipes. Next up was the Lechon Kawali, crispy and golden brown, this dish is a testament to the art of cooking pork to perfection.

The actors were also treated to our Grilled Chicken, which is marinated with a special blend of spices and grilled to achieve a smoky, flavorful finish. For dessert, they savored the Halo-Halo, a refreshing mix of shaved ice, sweet beans, fruits, and leche flan, topped with a scoop of ube ice cream. To round off the meal, they enjoyed our Turon with Ube Ice Cream, a delightful twist on the classic Filipino snack, combining crispy caramelized plantains with creamy, purple yam ice cream.

James and Martin were particularly impressed by the authenticity of the dishes. They expressed how Spoon and Rice offers a genuine taste of the Philippines, which made their dining experience all the more enjoyable. Their appreciation for our culinary offerings was as warm and generous as the hospitality they received.

We are incredibly honored to have had the opportunity to host Lord Basilio and Lord Barnell, and we hope they left with fond memories of both the food and the atmosphere here at Spoon and Rice Willesden. For those of you who haven’t yet visited, we invite you to come and experience the same authentic flavors and warm hospitality that our Bridgerton guests enjoyed.

Until next time, dear reader, keep savoring the flavors of Filipino cuisine, for as the candlelight flickers low and the evening draws to a close, who knows—you might just find yourself dining with the stars. Much like Lord Basilio and Lord Barnell, who departed Spoon and Rice with their appetites sated and hearts warmed, you too may experience the enchantment that comes from this union of Regency elegance and Filipino flavors. Should you wish to indulge in a similarly captivating experience, we invite you to dine in their stead. For in this corner of Willesden, you may bask in the culinary pleasures that have charmed even the most discerning of the Ton.

Yours in anticipation of many delectable encounters,

The Spoon and Rice Team
